BlurData Overview
Description
BlurData is a native macOS app that finds and permanently removes personal and confidential information from PDFs, scans, images and screenshots. It detects names, emails, postal addresses, account numbers, amounts, IP addresses and URLs automatically, reads scanned documents with on-device OCR, and lets you review every match before export. Everything runs locally, so client files are never uploaded to a server. To anonymize documents before sharing them or using them with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude, Pseudonymize mode replaces each person with a consistent label such as [PERSON_1] and exports a key the firm keeps separately. Exports also strip PDF metadata such as author and title. Batch redaction handles whole folders at once. Built for lawyers, paralegals and small firms on Mac who need to redact filings, discovery productions, court orders and client correspondence without an Acrobat subscription or a cloud service.Product Snapshot
